Families and Youth, Inc. was incorporated on October 1, 1979 as a non-profit
organization whose goal was to provide quality mental health services to poor
and indigent youth and their families. Friday, October 1, 2004, FYI
celebrates 25 years of successfully doing just that! FYI has provided
service to thousands of clients across Southern New Mexico since its inception
and continues today in the same proud tradition. These services
include a wide range of activities to enhance the lives of the youth of
Southern New Mexico, including mental health counseling, psychriatric
services, in-home counseling, experiential therapy, anti-smoking and
anti-AIDS programs, among others.
Today FYI continues to make its presence felt in the community
through ongoing efforts. FYI currently runs a large number of
programs aimed at improving the mental health of children and their
families throughout our area, many of which are only provided by FYI. Here is a sampling of services
