FYI’s El Crucero Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) program provides long-term affordable housing and accessible services for individuals and families who are facing complex challenges. Families living in supportive housing receive long-term affordable housing alongside services and referrals such as mental health services, case management, employment support, parenting support, life skills development, and tenant skills development to help stabilize the family. El Crucero’s goal is to assist individuals and families in maintaining a safe, stable, and secure life.
Long-term affordable housing is available to individuals and families who are homeless, at imminent risk of homelessness, has a head of household who has a chronic disabling condition, and/or qualify as low income. Many individuals and families are unable to afford housing because of a history of poverty, lack of access to resources, trauma, disabling physical or mental health condition, and a general lack of available affordable housing. FYI’s EL Crucero PSH is able to accept housing vouchers from other programs as well including Housing Choice/Section 8 voucher.
